Back to School
Last week, as schools reopened and our children returned to the classroom, I visited schools in Ibadan North West local government with my brothers, Gideon Adeosun and Ikenna Oparaugo.
The energy and dreams of our children reminded me of one truth: before anyone can lead others, they must first learn to lead themselves.
We spoke about being visionary, and the resultant effect of resilience, courage, and responsibility in their journey.
I was raised with the belief that while four eyes may birth a child, it takes thousands of eyes to nurture one. This is why I cannot look away. As a society, we cannot afford indifference. We must remain present in the lives of our young people. Encouraging and investing in them in our own little ways.
In shaping their path, we will ultimately be shaping our nation’s future.
