I am a researcher, policy practitioner and public-servant from Amunigun, Ibadan. My work asks how markets and institutions shape people’s opportunities; and how better evidence and implementation can improve everyday life.
I lead the Nigeria Food Security Project, connecting research, food-system intelligence and stakeholder engagement. My professional experience spans food security planning, environmental services, development research, digital learning and institutional delivery.
My foundation in Food Technology at the University of Ibadan has grown into a research agenda in agricultural and development economics. Alongside this work, I write, teach and convene public conversations on the choices that shape Nigeria’s future.
My leadership philosophy
Leadership is stewardship.
The patient, disciplined work of building trust, creating opportunity and strengthening systems that outlast the leader.
I believe Nigeria needs leadership that combines empathy with intelligence and political courage with practical competence. Public office is a duty to serve: decisions must be grounded in evidence, shaped with citizens and tested against the lives they change.
Integrity with backbone
Treat public trust as a responsibility: protect citizens’ rights, be transparent about decisions and refuse to exchange integrity for convenience.
Empathy with outcomes
Start with lived realities: the household facing rising prices, the farmer losing produce and the young person seeking opportunity. Judge policy by dignity, fairness and measurable improvements.
Courage to reform
Address how institutions work, not only what they announce. Align mandates, incentives and resources so that progress survives changes in leadership.
Shared ownership
Build coalitions across communities, sectors and generations. Listen seriously, make room for participation and give people a stake in the decisions affecting them.
Stewardship of the future
Build systems that outlast the individual. Invest in human capability, institutional memory and long-term resilience rather than short-term applause.
