With over nine years of experience spanning food security, environmental sustainability, public policy, and community development, Ajibola brings a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership, and civic vision to every initiative he undertakes. Ajibola Oladiipo is a public sector innovator, policy analyst, and advocate for sustainable development, whose work sits at the intersection of governance, food systems, and inclusive growth. Born on March 30 to the esteemed family of ‘Tunde and ‘Tola Oladiipo of Amunigun Compound, Ibadan North West LGA, Oyo State, Ajibola’s early life in Ibadan, the political and intellectual heart of the Southwest, laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to service, equity, and nation-building. He attended Holy Infant Jesus Catholic School, Loyola College, and Wesley College of Science, Ibadan, before earning a B.Sc. in Food Technology from the University of Ibadan.
Over the past decade, he has built a robust career advancing evidence-based reforms and community-centered programs across Nigeria, particularly in food security, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), digital innovation, and grassroots governance. Ajibola currently leads strategic efforts at the Nigeria Food Security Project and the Supply Chain Research and Innovation Hub (SCRIH), crafting localized, data-driven solutions to post-harvest loss, poor food access, and rural economic underperformance. He has managed high-impact programs, including the digital innovation component of a $4.6 million maternal and neonatal health project funded by the Gates Foundation.
He has collaborated with government, corporate, and research entities both nationally and globally, including:
- Norwegian Refugee Council / Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre
- Action Against Hunger / German Federal Foreign Office in Borno State
- M. Larsen Ghana Waste Ltd & Government of Ghana
- Government of the Republic of Guinea
- Lagos State Waste Management Authority
- Oyo State Waste Management Authority & Ministry of Environment
- Ogun State Ministry of Environment
- Osun Waste Management Agency
- Ebonyi State Government
- Cranfield University
…and many others.
Ajibola’s work prioritizes impact, scalability, and systemic change, bridging the gap between vision and practical implementation.
A prolific writer and public speaker, Ajibola uses his voice to inspire action. His books, MayWeather and Productivity and Rising Together: Essays on the Nigerian Struggle and Our Path to Growth, reflect a commitment to thought leadership grounded in lived experience and intellectual rigor. He also hosts the Diary of a Patriot YouTube channel, simplifying public policy and advocating for a Nigeria that works for everyone.
His advocacy extends into nonprofit work through the Ajibola Oladiipo Foundation (TAOF), which empowers underserved communities through programs in food systems, inclusive education, environmental resilience, and IT workforce development. Ajibola is also building a political structure rooted in progressive ideals, social justice, and human dignity, grounded in the belief that politics must serve a higher purpose: to build a society where freedom, dignity, and opportunity are rights, not privileges.
For Ajibola, leadership is stewardship. He believes in the patient work of building trust, creating opportunities, and driving collective progress. Whether in community halls, strategy rooms, or global forums, he remains a committed advocate for a Nigeria where systems work, citizens thrive, and hope is real.
